A lead that lasts.
Braided cord, brass hardware, hand-finished. Below is what it is made of and why that choice was made.
Braided cord
A core with a braided sheath around it. That construction keeps the lead supple in the hand and lets it hold its round shape, even after it has been wet. It does not stretch under a sudden pull.
Full-grain leather
The top layer of the hide, with the grain still intact. That is the strongest layer and the only one that builds a patina: the leather darkens where you hold it.
Solid brass
Carabiner, rings and buckles are solid brass, not chrome-plated steel with a coating. Brass does not rust and slowly warms in colour. A scratch polishes out instead of staying put.
Stitching & finish
At every point where the load sits there is a double seam in waxed thread. The ends are finished under a leather keeper, so nothing protrudes and nothing can fray.
Branding
One brand mark per product
An engraved monogram, a small brass plate or a woven label — never all three at once. The brand should be visible without taking over the lead.
Packaging
Opening it is part of it.
An ivory box, bordeaux tissue paper and a seal in champagne gold. Matte and tactile, no glossy foil. The box itself is unprinted or carries only the logo in a single colour.
Inside the box are at most three cards: a thank-you card, a care card and sizing advice if needed. Nothing beyond that.
