Right of withdrawal

You may send an online order back without saying why. This page sets out the period, how it works, and where the limit lies.

Last updated on 21 September 2026

  1. 1. The cooling-off period

You have 14 days to change your mind, counted from the day after you, or someone you nominated, received the product. Within that period you may dissolve the contract without giving a reason.

If your order arrives in several shipments, the period starts on the day after you received the last one.

On top of the statutory period, the shop gives you a return window of 30 days. That longer window is the shop's own offer: it does not replace your statutory rights and does not limit them.

  2. 2. What you may do with the product in the meantime

You may inspect and assess the product as you would in a shop: take it out of the packaging, feel it, try it on.

Use it beyond that — a collar that has been out on a walk, a lead with scratches — and you are liable for the loss in value. We then deduct part of the purchase price and explain how much and why.

Keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping the product. It makes sending it back a good deal easier.

  3. 3. How to withdraw

Tell us unambiguously within the cooling-off period that you are dissolving the contract. An email with your order number is enough. You may also use the model form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to.

After you tell us, you get the return instructions. Send the product back within fourteen days of that.

The risk and the burden of proof for a timely and correct withdrawal rest with you, so keep the proof of postage.

  4. 4. Costs

You get back the shipping you paid on your order. If you chose a more expensive shipping method than the standard one, we refund the amount of the standard method.

Who bears the cost of sending the product back is stated at checkout. If nothing is stated there, the law places that cost with the shop.

  5. 5. Refund

You get back everything you paid, within 14 days of withdrawing.

We may wait to refund until we have the product back, or until you have shown that you sent it — whichever comes first.

We refund using the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agree to something else. There is no charge for it.

  6. 6. When the right of withdrawal does not apply

Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you fall outside the right of withdrawal. That follows from article 6:230p, opening words and under f, of the Dutch Civil Code.

For us that means personalised items: a collar or tag carrying your dog's name, or a length made to measure. We make those per order and cannot sell them to anyone else.

This exception is only about changing your mind. If something is wrong with the product itself, your rights in respect of a defect apply in full — see the terms and conditions.

Before you order, it is made clear whether an item is being personalised. If you are unsure, ask us first.

  7. 7. Model withdrawal form

Only use this form if you wish to dissolve the contract. Filling it in is not compulsory — an ordinary email works just as well — but the shop is legally required to offer it.
